Houston International Ministries Beliefs

---

We believe the Bible is the inspired, unfailing, and unchanging Word of God, from Genesis to Revelation (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, crucified for our sins, raised on the third day, and exalted at the right hand of the Father. (Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:30-35).

We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ, and that Jesus is the only way to salvation. We believe in the resurrection, eternal life, Christ's return, and the final judgment.
(Acts 4:12) (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, Revelation 20:11-15).

We believe sanctification is God's work in the life of a believer, beginning in the spirit and continuing as the believer grows in holiness in daily life.

 (Hebrews 12:14, Romans 6:19-22),

We believe in water baptism and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers to live for Christ and serve as His witnesses.

 (Romans 6:4 Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Mark 16:17)

We believe in the biblical practice of laying on of hands for prayer, impartation, healing, blessing, and the recognition of spiritual gifts.

(Acts 8:15-20, 1 Timothy 4:14, 2 Timothy 1:6. Ephesians 4:11, Ephesians 4:11).

We believe God has established ministry gifts, including apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, to equip and build up the Body of Christ.
(Ephesians 3:5 Ephesians 4:11, Acts 14:23 Acts 8:12).

We believe in God's power to heal, deliver, perform miracles, and demonstrate His Kingdom through the work of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 12:28)

We believe that faith is essential to pleasing God, trusting His promises, and living according to His Word
(Hebrews 11:6)

We believe in sharing the Gospel locally, nationally, and internationally, using every available means to make the message of Jesus Christ known. (Matthew 24:14).
